  • R. Kirby Godsey

    Kirby Godsey, Ph.D. serves as the Peyton Anderson Foundation’s Chairman of the Board.

    Dr. Godsey served as the President and CEO of Mercer University for 27 years. Mercer saw its most significant growth in size and national standing during Dr. Godsey’s tenure. In 2006, Dr. Godsey was named Chancellor of Mercer University. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of both Birch Communications in Atlanta and Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting Firm in Macon. He is also a member of the Bibb County Development Authority.

  • R. Reid Hanson

    Dr. Reid Hanson, grandson of the late Peyton Anderson, serves as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Peyton Anderson Foundation.

    Dr. Hanson is a Macon native and resides in Auburn, Alabama where he is a Professor of Equine Surgery and Sports Medicine in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He also serves as a business and education consultant to domestic and international businesses worldwide.

  • Kathryn H. Dennis

    Kathryn H. Dennis serves as a Trustee of the Peyton Anderson Foundation.

    Ms. Dennis is the President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia and works closely with the Foundation’s Board, staff and donors to encourage philanthropy and make communities stronger in our region. In 2003, she was a Southeastern Council of Foundations Hull Fellow and currently serves on the board of the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance. She is tri-chair of the OneMacon community and economic development initiative and the convener of the Macon Council of Foundations.

  • Marc T. Treadwell

    The Honorable Marc Treadwell serves as a Trustee of the Peyton Anderson Foundation.

    Judge Treadwell is a United States District Judge, serving in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia since 2010. He has served as an adjunct professor of law in Federal Criminal Case Studies and Georgia Civil Practice and Procedure at the Mercer University Law School since 1998. Recognized expert in evidence law in Georgia, he has over 25 years of private practice in Macon, most recently at Adams, Jordan and Treadwell, P.C., where he specialized in personal injury and wrongful death until 2010.

Trustees of the Peyton Anderson Foundation should not be personally approached by an applicant concerning a grant proposal.  All requests, meetings and correspondence must go through the Foundation office.  The staff will schedule the necessary site visits, meetings and/or presentations at the appropriate time during the application process.  The Foundation staff is always available to answer questions concerning grants or procedures.
