Funded for
Human Services

The Peyton Anderson Foundation believes in the power of people, especially those actively working to better the human condition of our community’s less fortunate. From feeding the hungry to improving the quality of life for children and adults in need, the Foundation provides financial help and encouragement to make a positive, transformational impact on the lives of others. Food, housing, crisis services and community resource centers like the Daybreak Center, Rebuilding Macon, and the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank span the Foundation’s outreach.

The United Way of Central Georgia is also among the well-established human services organizations the Foundation supported in order to meet the needs of many others. United Way and multiple human service organizations are housed in the Peyton Anderson Community Services Center, which was an initiative of the Foundation.   Today, it houses several local non-profits generously serving the community and is a landmark building of Downtown Macon, complete with a life-size bronze statue of Peyton Anderson at its entrance.
