The Peyton Anderson Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the health system of Central Georgia, including infrastructure, needs-based services, research, education and improving health access. The Foundation supports newer and more advanced healthcare for the benefit of Macon-Bibb County. Just as Mr. Anderson believed in keeping his money re-invested in the local economy, the Peyton Anderson Foundation desires quality healthcare access so Central Georgians will not have to seek care elsewhere. The Foundation is committed to the overall well-being of our community. Some of the premier health institutions in Central Georgia bear our founder’s name, for example, The Peyton Anderson Cancer Center, Peyton Anderson Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Beverly Knight Olsen Children’s Hospital and the Peyton Anderson Regional Health Education Center.
We have made significant investments in Navicent Health’s critical care units and the Albert Luce, Jr. Heart Institute, which provides the most comprehensive and advanced techniques for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in the region. The Foundation also values organizations such as the Macon Volunteer Clinic which aids those that are uninsured.
